Friars Mill is a new facility for Leicester City Council, offering office and meeting facilities for new and upcoming businesses in the city. Turentek was asked to refurbish the original 18th century Mill building, Pump house, and original Workers cottage on Bath Lane.
Turentek installed a fully integrated virtual network access control system from Salto Systems. It allows wire free handsets to individual work units and, through hard-wired entry points, uploads information from the central computer to each users fobs and cards.
Turentek specified the traditional sash window hardware and met requirements of BS8300, with cam action and electronic door controls from Dorma, as well as producing traditional sliding door gear for some large 3m wide openings.
